Photographs of the urban sprawl of metropolis of Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal, India.

Kolkata has one of the most dynamic urban sprawl of the old cities of India, offering great cityscapes well as landscape. The largest city here in the Indian state of West Bengal, bustling on the eastern banks of the Hoogly (a distributary of the Ganges / Ganga) offers a photographers a myriad of picturesque as well as less flattering scenes to capture. These photographs are of the natural softer side of this city and in general that is what this blog tries to portray. These shots were taken by a low resolution camera phone and the quality of these pics is, hence, below par. It is only a hobby for me, and not a profession.
